This $2.4 million project consisted of deck resurfacing to correct non-standard cross slopes, replacement of bearings and deck joints, and approach roadway reconstruction to improve the overall service life and safety for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists. The work was staged to accommodate pedestrian and one-way vehicular traffic during construction. This was a locally managed, federally funded, “pass-thru” project, which mandated strict adherence to New York State Department of Transportation design procedures and criteria.
