The system spans two counties and multiple towns and villages, primarily along the Susquehanna and Chenango River corridors. Project objectives were accomplished by creating design standards that addressed signage materials, layout, graphic style, information content, and installation. The signage system was to be unified with the newly created Greater Binghamton Greenway logo, style, colors, materials, symbols, and structural components. This Binghamton Metropolitan Transportation Study project was funded by the Federal Highway Administration Metropolitan Planning Program.
