The 2,663-foot Liberty Bridge over the Monongahela River in Pittsburgh, PA was rehabilitated in 2016 when the bridge deck was replaced with Exodermic® deck panels, a first for Pennsylvania and meant to accelerate the construction process, minimize closures and increase the bridge load rating.

Due to the limited roadway width of the mainline portions of bridge, the deck was installed with precast panels and an accelerated concrete mix for closure pours. Concrete Concepts Inc., precast panels under controlled conditions at their McKees Rocks, PA facility using layout design and shop drawings supplied by Delta Precast.
