The vision of creating a coordinated hub for economic and business development support in Broome County, NY will soon be a reality. The groundbreaking ceremony for The Business Center at FIVE South College Drive was held on Tuesday, October 18.
This project is fully funded through a $4,350,000 New York Economic Development Assistance Program grant secured by the late Senator Tom Libous. Delta is part of the design/build team selected by The Agency – Broome County IDA/LDC to design and construct the new two story, 17,500 sq. ft. signature facility sited at the south entrance of the SUNY Broome campus in Binghamton, NY.
The new structure will house partner organizations that will be organized to provide a streamlined one-stop experience for existing businesses seeking to expand or entrepreneurs needing start-up support. Partnering organizations will include the Alliance for Manufacturing & Technology, the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce, the National Development Council, the New York Business Development Corporation, The Center (The Agency’s small business startup incubator), Visions Federal Credit Union, and other municipal and business development organizations.
