Delta’s Transportation Group has provided transportation infrastructure engineering design and support services to public and private clients since our founding in 1976. Delta has extensive experience with all bridge types including highly specialized design services related to the rehabilitation of historic, metal truss, and concrete arch bridges as well as design of prestressed concrete bridge beams. Delta has significant experience with Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) Methods. We have pioneered the development of a Precast Abutment System (PAS) for the replacement of short-span, low volume bridges with a modular system of steel and precast concrete components that can be constructed with available equipment and workforce at significant savings.
We have an impressive portfolio of bridge design successes and have in-depth knowledge of NYSDOT design standards and funding stream requirements for virtually any bridge or roadway project. Delta has worked in multiple NYSDOT Regions as a prime consultant. In addition, Delta has partnered with New York State counties and municipalities under Local Design Service Agreements (LDSA) for over ten years and has been selected by Regions 2, 3, 6, 7, and 9 for the current 2019-2022 cycle.
Delta also has experience performing parking garage assessments in New York State. We have qualified professional engineers with knowledge of parking structures, construction materials and building design codes. We specialize in the evaluation of existing parking structures that have experienced deterioration during their service life.
