Ringwood Rd 3

This project involved the replacement of a single span jack-arch bridge to eliminate structural deficiencies and eliminate safety flags. Design tasks included bridge inspection and load rating, hydraulic analysis, alternative evaluation, environmental documentation, preparation of a design report, development of construction bid documents and cost estimating.

Construction work provided a new concrete box culvert bridge, approach roadway reconstruction, reconfiguration of an adjacent intersection, new guide railing, and improvements to sight distance. This was a locally managed federally funded “pass-thru” project which mandated adherence to NYSDOT design procedures and criteria.
