Study methodology included a comprehensive site visit, review of existing plans, identification of site constraints, initial screening of feasible green stormwater practices, and feasibility analysis of selected green stormwater practices. Project design includes several green infrastructure elements to capture, filter and infiltrate stormwater as well as reduce runoff which would otherwise eventually flow into the already overwhelmed storm sewer system. Proposed green infrastructure practices for the site include green roofs, stormwater planters, stormwater harvesting & reuse, porous pavers, bioretention islands, downspout disconnection and stormwater trees. These practices will provide water quality treatment, stormwater runoff quantity reduction and educational benefits for the community.
